Promotional Maps

Here are some simple directions to help your clients build their brand, boost sales, market events and more with promotional maps.

Can we talk about creases and folds? If you just sucked in your stomach and are holding your breath, let it out! We're talking about the creases and folds that go into making great promotional maps!

Compton Graphics Group regularly produces thousands of maps that vary considerably in their use, size, and production requirements. And while print quality is very important, most maps have multiple panels that require intricate folding techniques so that the final product opens as intended, exposing each panel in the order intended when designed.

Map folding is an art unto itself that requires specialized folding equipment with a multitude of plate configurations. Compton Graphics, has the experience to properly configure each job, allowing for push out (thickness of multi-panel maps) while setting the ejection rollers to provide consistent folds that are free of tearing or wrinkling but without excessive bulk.

As you may know, stock choice is an important consideration as well, especially for larger maps with their many panels. A lightweight stock tends to wrinkle while a heavier stock has a tendency for the last folds to push out past the desired size.

Choosing the right stock can make all the difference and is a crucial first step in providing specifications on your map projects. Who buys map printing? Buyers include federal, state and local Transit Authorities and other government agencies, Amusement Parks, Zoos, and many more.  With our many years of experience, we would welcome the chance to assist you in deciding which stock is best for your project.
